For over 30 years, Farrelly Calves has been raising and supplying quality young calves to buyers across New Zealand. Located in Te Awamutu, in the heart of the Waikato, one of New Zealand’s premier dairy regions, our business was founded in 1991 with a clear purpose: to rear 4-day-old calves through to 3–4 months of age—fully weaned, healthy, and ready for pasture. What began on a modest 40-hectare farm with just 100 calves has grown into a large-scale operation spanning 460 hectares, now rearing 15, 000 calves annually. Our journey is one of commitment, growth, and delivering quality livestock. Unlike many other calf-rearing businesses across New Zealand, Farrelly Calves benefits from extensive land area, enabling our calves to graze on pasture from an early age. This leads to strong, healthy calves that are well-prepared to achieve optimal weight gains.
