City Salvage Contractors, established in the 1980s, is a demolition business with a team of 14. We specialize in salvaging materials from demolition sites and recycling them at our yard, The Pumphouse. Over the years, we’ve grown by adding more staff and machinery, and have completed numerous residential and commercial demolitions, including Red Zone demolitions due to the Canterbury earthquakes. We are licensed to remove both friable and non-friable asbestos, common in buildings before 2000. We also purchase materials from other contractors and the public, selling directly to the public at The Pumphouse.
